  2.                    Spheric: Read This First!

  6. Spheric is a spherical geometry calculator for Windows 3.1 or
  7. Windows 95/NT (separate 16- and 32-bit vesrions are available).
  8. The program is useful in navigation, geography and astronomy,
  9. but also in "pure" spherical geometry.
  10. It is written and copyright (C) 1993-97 by J.A. Wrotniak.
  11.  
  12. Spheric is shareware; the details of registration and further
  13. distribution are given in the enclosed Help file.
  14. Let us only mention that the $30 registration fee ($33 if you
  15. are using a credit card) covers also the DOS / HP Palmtop version
  16. of the program.

  19. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  20.  
  21. Any computer capable of running Windows (3.1, 95 or NT) will do.
  22. A color VGA or SVGA monitor is required. A mouse is useful but
  23. not really necessary. If you have a sound board, Spheric will
  24. use it.

  26. The program files need less than 1 megabyte of disk space.

  35.    SPHERIC.EXE  - the program itself
  36.    SPHERIC.HLP  - the Windows help file
  37.    KALKULP.FON  -
  38.    KALKULT.FON  - font files

  41.    SPH_INP
  42.    SPH_QUE      - sound files (optional)
  43.    US.FIX       - a data file with 30 major US cities
  44.    WD.FIX       - a data file with 30 major cities of the world
  45.    WHATS.NEW    - a list of recent changes
  46.    FILE_ID.DIZ  - short info for BBS and shareware vendors
  47.    VENDINFO.DIZ - info for shareware vendors and BBS operators

  49. Two more files are included, although will become useful only
  50. upon program registration:
  51.  
  52. * USA.FIX, WRD.FIX - larger fix files, defining locations of
  53.   major cities (240 in United States and 300 in the world).
  54.  
  55. Upon registration you will receive one more file:
  56.  
  57. * SPHERIC.KEY - your personal registration file, with the
  58.   serial number and your name embedded (instead of that, you
  59.   may receive the registration key to enter manually into the
  60.   program).

  62. Registered users of Spheric for DOS / HP Palmtop: copy your
  63. SPH.KEY file renamed to SPHERIC.KEY into the Spheric folder;
  64. it will "register" for you the Windows version and all future
  65. updates.

  68. INSTALATION
  69.  
  70. Create a new folder on your disk and copy (or unzip) all
  71. distribution files there.

  74. UNINSTALLING

  76. Just delete that folder with all files. Spheric is a well-
  77. behaved program: it does not create any files outside of
  78. its own directory.
